Its been a while since I blogged. I think I have just allowed my circumstances to cloud my desire to blog I guess. However, I do find it necessary to get a few things out of my head. After all, it is MY blog. I can pretty much say what I want lol. Well so to speak.
So I wanted to talk about my long road to healthy living. It all started with me having a baby. Sheesh! talk about weight gain. I put on weight to a point where I was 162lbs. Ufff....not a happy camper. However, I decided I needed something to help me lose weight. But, after having a c-section and not being able to work out right away, I felt like I had no options. I could have gone to the typical weight watchers, nutri-system, or a number of other different types of weight loss programs that involved food. Then I came across Body By Vi. An acquaintance of ours had been trying to get us to sit down and try the Body By Vi shakes but I didn't feel motivated to try them. I didn't feel motivated to do anything really. Being a new mom, being tired, overweight and depressed wasn't exactly the motivating I expected. I was so frustrated. I reached my limit. I found myself getting on scales and wanting to cry. I never wanted to take pictures. It was depressing to see myself 3 months after giving birth and still wearing maternity clothes. One day I woke up and I saw a message on FB for us to meet with our acquaintances to get a free bag of shake mix. I figured what the heck...its free right? What have I got to lose? Well I tried the shakes out and I loved them. I loved the taste.
A few days (maybe even weeks) passed and I see on FB that a close friend of ours was now promoting the 90 Day Challenge. I immediately made a comment saying I was also drinking the shakes. But of course mine was free so I wasn't really on the challenge. Whatever the case may be, after a skype meeting the next day between my husband and our close friend.....we became Body By Vi distributors. I remember getting the box delivered to my house and deciding to start my Transformation Kit for the 90 Day Challenge in January. Sigh...what a road to weigh tloss I've been on lol. I started off just doing the Transformation Kit. Then at the end of January early February, I began working out. I tried a couple of different methods of working out until I found one that was fun enough to not bore me to quit. I started teaching Salsa dancing again and went back into teaching the Training Team as well. I was getting a work out in almost every day of the week one way or the other. Well, my 90 Day Challenge came to an in March and here are my results.....(drum roll please)...
I am pretty proud of myself I must admit. However, I still have more weight to lose. I have officially started my New 90 Day Challenge that is called the "Makeover Takeover" with Body By Vi. Its a 90 Day challenge countdown to summer. So now I am working on eating healtheir, choosing a different work out program (I went with a ballet workout to elongate and create lean, toned muscles. I want a flat belly if my life depends on it lol. I will get there. When I do, I will post my NEW results picture. I'll be posting pictures of my progress, food choices, workout choices, and different types of shakes recipes that I am doing with Body By Vi. Here are a few more pictures of the previous challenge and what I'm doing now.
This is my wonderful Body By Vi Shape Shake Mix........I love this stuff! |
I'm doing my best to eat Organic, gluten free, almond butter, sprouted grain breads, quinoa, brown rice and clean pure oils like coconut oil. Those are just a few examples of what I am eating. I'll be posting pics of my fluidity work out as well. Here a pic or two of Turbo fire workout what I did besides dancing salsa....
Until next time.....Happy Healthy living www.ahealthieryouin90.com
