Isn't God funny?

This 40 long days is nearing its final weeks. I've come from being on fire and full of zeal and passion to a low place of dryness and quietness. So, today I went to the Song of Solomon class that I attend each week....and the Lord spoke directly to me over and over. It was pretty amusing at times. I had a moment where the teacher looks right at me while talking about John 4 which says "Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest! 36 And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. 37 For in this the saying is true: ‘One sows and another reaps.’ 38 I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered into their labors.”

The funny thing is that during my prayer time today (which was full of tearful pitty parties galore), I kept saying "Lord when is it my turn? When is my harvest? What about me?" That isn't vain at all (said sarcastically). I was like,
"OK Lord, how much longer will life be like this?" Then, of course, I go to class and get my answers over and over again. Everything I prayed about the Lord answered clearly. The Lord also spoke through Song of Solomon 2:10-14 - 10 My beloved spoke, and said to me:  “ Rise up, my love, my fair one, And come away. 11 For lo, the winter is past, The rain is over and gone. 12 The flowers appear on the earth; The time of singing has come, And the voice of the turtledove Is heard in our land. 13 The fig tree puts forth her green figs, And the vines with the tender grapes Give a good smell. Rise up, my love, my fair one, And come away! 14 “ O my dove, in the clefts of the rock, In the secret places of the cliff, Let me see your face, Let me hear your voice; For your voice is sweet, And your face is lovely.”

Isn't the Lord just wonderful? I mean, I was seriously pouring my heart out today while praying. I kept thinking my season of trials was over (at least that particular season) and going into a new one. But it seems as though its been delayed. At least it feels that way. So when God answers me about what I was praying about, it gives me strength to keep going and not give up. Thank you Lord. Because you are Faithful and True. You are always hearing my prayers even when I am acting like an impatient whining child.

Psalms 89 -  1 I will sing of the mercies of the LORD forever; With my mouth will I make known Your faithfulness to all generations. 2 For I have said, “Mercy shall be built up forever; Your faithfulness You shall establish in the very heavens.”

3 “I have made a covenant with My chosen, I have sworn to My servant David: 4 ‘Your seed I will establish forever, And build up your throne to all generations.’”  Selah

5 And the heavens will praise Your wonders, O LORD; Your faithfulness also in the assembly of the saints. 6 For who in the heavens can be compared to the LORD? Who among the sons of the mighty can be likened to the LORD?

7 God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, And to be held in reverence by all those around Him. 8 O LORD God of hosts, Who is mighty like You, O LORD? Your faithfulness also surrounds You. 9 You rule the raging of the sea; When its waves rise, You still them. 10 You have broken Rahab in pieces, as one who is slain; You have scattered Your enemies with Your mighty arm.

11 The heavens are Yours, the earth also is Yours; The world and all its fullness, You have founded them. 12 The north and the south, You have created them; Tabor and Hermon rejoice in Your name. 13 You have a mighty arm; Strong is Your hand, and high is Your right hand. 14 Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; Mercy and truth go before Your face. 15 Blessed are the people who know the joyful sound! They walk, O LORD, in the light of Your countenance. 16 In Your name they rejoice all day long, And in Your righteousness they are exalted. 17 For You are the glory of their strength, And in Your favor our horn is exalted. 18 For our shield belongs to the LORD, And our king to the Holy One of Israel.
